MRI Tech (Full-time or part-time)

Join Flagstaff Bone & Joint as an MRI Technologist and become part of a respected, physician-owned orthopedic practice where advanced imaging, compassionate patient care, and teamwork come together every day. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic MRI exams in a supportive outpatient setting, helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit. Type: EITHER Full-time, 40 hours per week; or Part-time, less than 30 hours per week

Responsibilities include:
· Perform safety screenings to identify contraindications that could be hazardous in a magnetic field
· Start IV lines and administer contrast agents as directed by physician protocols
· Manage a high level of X-Ray and MRI patient volume every day
· Greet and escort patients from clinic room to X-ray or MRI room
· Prepare patients by confirming images/scan to be taken, explain details of the process to alleviate anxiety
· Quality assurance - inspect images to determine they meet FBJ requirements
· Documents and patient records must be maintained including medical history, consent forms, imaging parameters, and contrast (if MRI)
· Maintain equipment and examination room and keep inventory of related supplies
· Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment by inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques
· Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislations, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management of needed actions
· Maintain a safe clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
