MRO Parts & Procurement Clerk
POSITION SUMMARY
The MRO Parts & Procurement Clerk supports the Parts Department and broader Supply Chain function by receiving and processing MRO materials in Epicor, following up with vendors on outstanding purchase orders, expediting critical deliveries, and requesting quotes to support timely procurement. This role also assists the Supply Chain team with routine reporting and stock-level monitoring for critical tool crib items, helping ensure parts, tools, and supplies are available to support uninterrupted plant operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) shipments and process receipts in Epicor, matching quantities and item detail against open purchase orders.
- Perform data entry of parts and supplies received; check receipts against purchase orders and maintain accurate daily filing and records.
- Follow up with vendors on the status of open purchase orders, confirming ship dates, resolving discrepancies, and escalating delays.
- Expedite orders as needed to prevent parts or material shortages that could impact production schedules.
- Request quotes from vendors for parts, tools, and supplies to support timely and cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Run and distribute various reports out of Epicor (e.g., open PO status, receiving activity, inventory/stock reports) to support Supply Chain reporting needs.
- Assist the Tool Crib Technician as needed, including reviewing stock levels of critical items in the tool crib to help prevent shortages.
- Restock parts and supplies daily and keep the parts room and tool crib work areas neat, organized, and audit-ready, including drawers and shelving.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.
