MS Specialist Core
The MS Specialist Core will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing core voice networks, ensuring smooth operations and efficient issue resolution. This position is part of a multi-vendor project, primarily working with Ericsson and Nokia technologies. The engineer will be responsible for fault management, change management, and vendor escalation, utilizing their expertise in protocol analysis and troubleshooting.
- Manage and resolve faults in core voice networks, including Circuit Switch and VoLTE systems, and SDM registrars.
- Implement effective change management processes to ensure network stability and minimise disruptions.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting and protocol analysis to identify and rectify network issues.
- Escalate complex issues to vendors and coordinate with vendor support teams.
- Monitor network performance and identify potential areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal network performance.
- Document and maintain accurate records of fault management and change management activities.
- Provide timely and accurate updates to stakeholders and clients on network issues and resolutions.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends in core voice networks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fault management and troubleshooting for core voice networks.
- Strong knowledge of Circuit Switch and VoLTE technologies, as well as SDM registrars, with good knowledge on core subdomains , focusing on P/S/I/E-CSCF, TAS, UtProxy, HSS, HLR, MSS, MGW, and good knowledge on Core protocols (SIP, Diameter, RTP, SS7)
- Experience working with Ericsson and Nokia equipment and technologies is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in protocol analysis and network monitoring tools.
- Good understanding of change management processes and best practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multi-vendor environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry developments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
