MuleSoft Architect/Designer
Overview
TSGi is seeking a MuleSoft Architect/Designer to support a large-scale federal travel and expense modernization initiative serving civilian government agencies. This role will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise integration solutions that connect travel, financial, and business systems through scalable, secure, and reusable APIs. The ideal candidate brings deep MuleSoft architecture expertise, SAP integration experience, and the ability to guide technical teams while collaborating directly with client stakeholders.
Candidates local to Herndon, VA are preferred and will be expected to work onsite four (4) days per week. Fully remote candidates will also be considered; however, West Coast candidates will not be considered.
Per our Federal government contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable enterprise integration architectures using MuleSoft.
- Lead API strategy, architecture, and platform governance initiatives.
- Define integration patterns, standards, and best practices across development teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into solution designs.
- Drive CI/CD automation, observability, error handling, and documentation standards.
Qualifications
- MuleSoft Architect Certification required.
- SAP integration experience required.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing MuleSoft integration solutions.
- Expertise in MuleSoft platform administration, integration architecture, and API design.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API-led connectivity, and cloud-based architectures.
- Experience leading development teams and establishing technical standards and best practices.
- Proven ability to facilitate technical discussions with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Concur Integration experience is a plus!

Compensation:
- W2 Hourly rate starts at $80. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
