MuleSoft DevOps Lead
Summary
Leads DevOps operations for the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, running runtimes across CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, and hybrid/on-prem environments on Red Hat OpenShift. Day to day involves GitLab CI/CD and Ansible automation, TLS/mTLS security, Dynatrace and Splunk monitoring, and production support with on-call and RCA.
Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced MuleSoft DevOps Lead to manage, operate, and support MuleSoft Anypoint Platform infrastructure across CloudHub, Runtime Fabric (RTF), and hybrid/on-premises environments. The role involves managing MuleSoft deployments on Red Hat OpenShift, automating CI/CD pipelines, implementing security configurations, monitoring platform performance, and providing production support.
Responsibilities :
- Operate, manage, and support MuleSoft runtimes across CloudHub, Runtime Fabric (RTF), and hybrid/on-premises environments.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot MuleSoft Runtime Fabric on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Manage OpenShift components, including pods, operators, builds, and routes.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft applications and infrastructure.
- Automate deployments, environment configurations, and release promotions using GitLab and Ansible.
- Implement and support TLS and mutual TLS (mTLS) configurations for MuleSoft APIs and integrations.
- Monitor platform performance, JVM metrics, and application health using Dynatrace.
- Manage centralised logging, monitoring, and alerting through Splunk.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, DNS, certificate, proxy, firewall, and networking issues.
- Support DMZ-hosted MuleSoft runtimes and ensure secure inbound and outbound traffic.
- Provide production support, incident triage, outage recovery, and on-call assistance.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), document findings, and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance, availability, and platform resilience.
Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform infrastructure, DevOps, or platform operations.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting MuleSoft CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, and hybrid/on-premises environments.
- Experience deploying and managing MuleSoft Runtime Fabric on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and OpenShift architecture, including pods, operators, builds, and routes.
- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Experience with Ansible and infrastructure automation; knowledge of Terraform is preferred.
- Experience with Dynatrace for platform monitoring and Splunk for centralised logging and alerting.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TLS/mTLS, proxies, firewalls, and certificates.
- Good Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in production support, incident management, on-call rotations, and root cause analysis.
- Banking or financial services domain experience is preferred.
