Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Multi-Modality Tech, you will provide quality patient care within two or more medical imaging departments, performing high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs and adhering to safe radiation practices.
Every day you will operate various imaging equipment, position patients for different exams, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and serve as a role model for other associate technologists, continually upholding current standards of practice for the unit.
To be successful in this role, you will possess expertise in at least two medical imaging modalities, strong technical skills across multiple platforms, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and the ability to effectively communicate, lead, and provide compassionate patient care.
- Performs imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals.
- Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
- Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
- As assigned by management, performs technologist duties of other registered modality.
- Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports / documents unusual occurrences and records patient's condition.
- Notifies supervisor of equipment problems and logs the service call/problem per department procedure.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- One (1) year imaging experience
- Registered Technologist, Radiology ARRT (R)
- Any of the following: ARRT (CT), ARRT (M), R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT) ; R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT)
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
Preferred
- Associate Degree
- Bachelor Degree
