Municipal ERP & Financial Systems Integration Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

ATS+Partners is seeking a Municipal ERP & Financial Systems Integration Engineer to serve as the core integration specialist on the City of Brockton’s AI Automation and Generative Document Intelligence initiative. This contractor is the critical link between the AI extraction pipeline and the City’s live financial systems, and must be able to demonstrate directly that the engagement team satisfies the RFP’s Minimum Evaluation Criterion 3 (three or more years of experience integrating automation solutions with core financial, HR, or utility systems) and Comparative Criterion B (experience automating invoice processing workflows).

The contractor will take ownership of all integration touchpoints between the ATS+Partners GDI platform and the City’s Tyler Munis ERP, fleet registry, HR enrollment system, and ancillary financial applications. They will design the data schemas, validate integration endpoints, develop API connectors, and ensure that every automated output — invoice validations, insurance coverage records, audit work papers — lands cleanly in the correct downstream system with full audit trail preservation. This role is hands-on and delivery-oriented.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead all Tyler Munis ERP integration design, development, and testing across invoice processing, vehicle insurance, and audit preparation workflows.

Build and maintain REST API connectors between the ATS+Partners GDI platform and Tyler Munis modules: Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchasing, and Contracts.

Design and implement three-way PO matching logic — validating extracted invoice data against purchase orders and goods receipts within Tyler Munis before any payment routing.

Develop automated GL account suggestion logic using historical invoice-to-GL mapping, reducing manual coding burden on Finance staff.

Integrate fleet registry data feeds to support vehicle coverage validation in the insurance reconciliation workflow, including VIN-level coverage matrix management.

Connect HR enrollment system APIs to support health insurance reconciliation, enabling automated comparison of carrier billing records against active employee enrollment data.

Configure structured JSON/XML output schemas for all four workflows, ensuring data hand-offs are clean, validated, and auditable by the City’s finance department.

Participate in Phase 1 systems inventory: document all Tyler Munis modules in use, API availability, authentication methods, data schemas, and integration constraints.

Build and maintain integration test suites; conduct UAT with City Finance staff; resolve data mapping discrepancies before go-live sign-off.

Produce integration architecture documentation, data dictionaries, field mapping guides, and operations runbooks for City IT staff.

Provide ongoing integration support, including quarterly review of data accuracy, performance tuning, and support for additional automation scope.
