Murex MxML Developer
Project description
We've been engaged by a large Australian financial institution to provide resources to their Murex program. Joining this program, you will work with an established client team supporting Murex development, enhancement, and integration initiatives, with a strong focus on MxML workflows and interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Murex MxML workflows and integration components.
- Perform technical analysis, development, testing, and validation of MxML-based solutions.
- Support end-to-end delivery by collaborating with Business Analysts, QA teams, and senior developers.
- Develop and maintain Murex interfaces using MxML Exchange and related integration technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Murex interfaces and trade processing.
- Work closely with stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office teams.
- Contribute to regulatory changes, system upgrades, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow Agile development practices and maintain technical documentation.
SKILLS
Must have
- 4-7 years of hands-on Murex MXML development experience with recent and active MXML configuration and development experience (Mandatory).
- Must be currently working extensively on Murex MXML development and able to contribute independently with minimal guidance from day one.
- Strong hands-on experience with: o MxML Exchange o MxML Workflows o XML-based integrations o MXML configuration and interface development
- Good understanding of: o Murex pre-trade flows o Trade lifecycle o Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office processes o Murex interface architecture
- Strong working knowledge of: o XML / XSLT o Java and/or scripting languages o SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL) o Unix/Linux
- Proven experience in interface development, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Strong understanding of Capital Markets and end-to-end Murex trade processing.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder interaction skills.
Nice to have
• Exposure to Murex APIs, Services, and integration logic. • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA. • Exposure to Murex upgrades and release activities. • Knowledge of SOAP/REST services and integration patterns. • Experience supporting regulatory or enhancement projects in Murex.
