Murex Project Manager
Summary
The Murex Project Manager will lead complex Murex implementation and transformation initiatives across the Asia Pacific region, managing project governance, stakeholder communication, and delivery workstreams. The role requires a Mandarin-speaking professional with deep expertise in Murex project lifecycles, including testing, cutover, and production support within capital markets environments.
We are seeking an experienced, Mandarin speaking Murex Project Manager to support the delivery of Murex initiatives across Asia Pacific. This role requires a structured and delivery-focused project manager who can manage complex Murex workstreams across scope, planning, governance, execution, quality, risk, dependencies, resourcing, and stakeholder communication.
The successful candidate will coordinate across client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, Murex SMEs, technology teams, project contributors, vendors, and system integrators, ensuring delivery remains aligned with agreed project objectives, timelines, milestones, and quality expectations. The role requires strong ownership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts across a capital markets / banking technology environment.
Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Project Manager delivering Murex or capital markets technology projects across implementation, upgrade, migration, enhancement, integration, regulatory change, or transformation programmes.
- Good understanding of Murex project delivery, including front-to-back workstreams, project governance, testing, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live support.
- Experience managing complex project delivery across multiple stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, operations teams, vendors, system integrators, and senior management.
- Strong understanding of delivery governance, including scope management, planning, RAID, dependencies, budget tracking, resource coordination, quality management, and escalation control.
- Ability to build, review, and maintain project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, status reports, and governance packs.
- Experience coordinating SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, release readiness, cutover planning, go/no-go preparation, and production handover.
- Strong communication skills, including senior-level reporting, steering committee preparation, project updates, issue escalation, and stakeholder follow-up.
- Ability to work autonomously, proactively, and with strong follow-up discipline in a regional client-facing environment.
- Prior experience across Asian banking environments, treasury platforms, trading systems, or front-to-back capital markets transformation would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Murex project delivery across implementation, upgrade, migration, enhancement, integration, regulatory, or transformation workstreams.
- Build, maintain, and manage project plans, delivery milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, status reports, and project governance materials.
- Coordinate delivery across client stakeholders, internal teams, Murex SMEs, business analysts, technical teams, vendors, QA teams, and system integrators.
- Manage project scope, priorities, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
- Support requirements clarification, solution alignment, delivery prioritisation, project planning, and stakeholder communication.
- Track and manage project progress against timelines, milestones, deliverables, quality controls, risks, and deviations against plan.
- Coordinate testing phases including SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect tracking, test readiness, and business sign-off.
- Support release readiness, cutover planning, go/no-go preparation, implementation planning, and post-release follow-up.
- Provide clear weekly status updates, project review materials, steering committee inputs, and escalation updates to senior stakeholders.
- Manage cross-workstream coordination across front-to-back Murex areas such as Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, Market Data, Interfaces, Reporting, Settlements, and Confirmations.
- Support resource planning, staffing coordination, vendor management, and delivery capacity tracking across project activities.
- Ensure delivery remains aligned to business objectives, project governance standards, operational readiness, regulatory expectations, and implementation best practice.
