Museum Safety Officer

Miami Children’s Museum is seeking a dependable, friendly, and observant Museum Safety Officer to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our guests, employees, and community.

The Museum Safety Officer will monitor the facility, assist guests, respond to safety concerns, and help ensure that Museum policies and procedures are followed. The ideal candidate is professional, attentive, comfortable interacting with children and families, and able to respond calmly and appropriately in challenging situations.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a visible presence throughout the Museum to promote a safe environment
• Monitor entrances, exits, exhibits, and common areas
• Greet and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Respond to safety concerns, incidents, and emergencies
• Help enforce Museum policies and procedures
• Complete incident reports accurately and promptly
• Assist with evacuations and emergency procedures when necessary
• Communicate concerns to Museum leadership and appropriate team members
• Support special events and other Museum activities as needed
