Description
- NJ Teacher of Music Certification or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS)
- Teach general music classes and instrumental music to elementary and middle school students.
- Experience in Elementary General Music instruction and pedagogy
- Ability to organize and direct an elementary level chorus
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Effective classroom management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and parents
- Proficient vocal and piano/instrumental skills preferred
- Previous experience working with primary grade students preferred
- Willingness to work collaboratively with district colleagues regarding music instruction preferred
- Ability to plan a yearly concert and music for other school events/assemblies throughout the year preferred
Willingness to support building/department/district initiatives that encourage student participation in music preferred
