Position Summary
The Music Therapist will provide individual and group sessions to fulfill therapeutic objectives, including but not limited to\: anxiety reduction, pain management, developmental stimulation, alternative means of expression/communication, positive coping techniques, procedural support, quality of life and family/patient support. The Music Therapist will be a member of the Child Life Department and complement one another's work in meeting the psychosocial and developmental needs of patients and families. The Music Therapist will also provide educational presentations to the staff, volunteers and community as needed.
