LJP Waste Solutions is seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-Time Equipment Operator to support operations at our collection facility.

This role is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to sort and load commercial and residential waste, keeping the facility clean and organized, and making sure all equipment is inspected and ready for use. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Schedule: Part-time, (16–20 hours per week). 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Additional shifts may be available to cover for other team members.

Equipment Operation

• Safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader, skid loader, shredder, and semi truck
• Sort and load commercial and residential waste disposed of at the collection facility
• Follow proper operating procedures to protect equipment, material, and coworkers

Safety & Compliance

• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times
• Wear required PPE and stay alert to hazards in the work area
• Report safety concerns, incidents, or unusual material to the supervisor promptly

Equipment Inspection & Maintenance

• Complete Daily Equipment Inspections (DEIs) on all assigned equipment
• Clean equipment as required
• Report maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime

Facility Upkeep

• Maintain the facility as needed, including skid loader sweeping and vacuuming
• Use mechanized equipment to pick up loose recyclables and trash
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for the next shift

Teamwork & Communication

• Communicate shift updates and equipment status to supervisors and incoming crews
• Pick up shifts to support coverage when needed
• Other duties as assigned
