This position involves working on custom authentication workflows, integrating third-party applications, and enhancing the MyChart user experience through thoughtful configuration and development. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and QA teams to deliver modern and seamless digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and support Epic MyChart functionality to align with organizational goals and improve patient engagement.
- Implement and manage customizations within the MyChart Code module, including UI/UX modifications and authentication workflows.
- Translate friction points in the patient journey into system specifications and build/configuration requirements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand goals, gather requirements, and deliver on digital health strategies.
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate third-party applications using Epic APIs.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of patient experience applications.
- Partner with engineering and QA teams to ensure high-quality deployment and performance.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Epic MyChart certification
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Epic MyChart and other digital front door solutions
- Strong technical understanding of MyChart application functionality and customization capabilities
- Experience developing or supporting custom patient experience applications that leverage the Epic MyChart code base
- Demonstrated ability to translate user experience needs into functional system requirements
- Experience with custom authentication methods and patient login workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with Epic’s MyChart Code module
- Background integrating 3rd party apps and APIs into Epic or other major EHR platforms
- Familiarity with patient engagement strategies and digital health tools
- Experience collaborating with product management, engineering, and QA teams in a healthcare IT setting
- Understanding of privacy, security, and compliance standards around patient data access and authentication
