Position Overview

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Chief / Site Manager to support NASA Fire Services at Kennedy Space Center.

The Fire Chief / Site Manager will serve as the full-time, onsite leader responsible for the overall management and day-to-day fire services operations at Kennedy Space Center. This position provides leadership across emergency response, fire prevention, training, safety, EMS, hazardous materials, and technical rescue functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day fire department operations at Kennedy Space Center
• Serve as the facility Fire Chief and onsite Site Manager
• Manage assigned fire services personnel and subcontractors
• Maintain operational readiness and required staffing
• Oversee firefighting, emergency response, EMS, fire prevention, training, hazardous materials, and technical rescue activities
• Ensure compliance with NASA requirements, policies, procedures, certifications, and safety standards
• Coordinate with NASA leadership and program management
• Participate in required meetings, reviews, and reporting
• Support emergency, surge, launch, landing, and mutual-aid operations as applicable
• Maintain 24/7 availability by phone as required for site leadership
