Graphic Design/Digital Media Intern
Webster, TX
Timeframe: 2026 Fall Semester
Part-time, minimum of 20 hours per week
Tasks supporting the Cargo Mission Contract include the preparation of cargo going to the International Space Station (ISS) to withstand both the intense forces of a rocket launch and the microgravity of orbit to sustain human presence in space. All items that are sent to the ISS must be marked appropriately with a label or decal. The position will support the graphic activities that occur to mark each item that is sent to the ISS, supporting space mission work completed for NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
Graphic design will be completed using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
The ideal candidate, in addition to having the required graphic skills, should embrace teamwork and the ability to solve problems.
A limited amount of training in the graphic software will be available to the successful candidate.
Primary responsibilities include:
Create artwork using Photoshop and Illustrator
Design decals/labels, placards, labels, and graphics compliant with the requirements
Produce decal products using various production processes and materials from start to finish
Perform quality checks on artwork prior to production and postproduction
Course of study desired: Graphic Design/Digital Media/Industrial Design
Specific skills and expertise desired (programming languages, technical knowledge): Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Other general experience, skills desired: Strong oral and written communication, ability to work successfully with a team
