National Account Manager
This role manages a $5M+ portfolio of national corporate and enterprise accounts, primarily within Retail, Waste, Property Management, and Construction. The National Account Manager drives repeat business and new revenue opportunities through strategic account management, and fostering strong client relationships. They will collaborate internally to deliver custom junk removal solutions, support large projects, and educate customers on service offerings, ensuring significant contribution to revenue growth and client satisfaction across North America.
Hybrid Work Environment
Team members in our Vancouver, Toronto Junktion Hubs follow a hybrid work model that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration. Employees are expected to work from the office several days each month, with scheduled team collaboration and company connection days to support alignment, teamwork, and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Account Strategy and Portfolio Growth
- Portfolio Management: Oversee a $5M+ portfolio of corporate and enterprise accounts across North America, serving core verticals including Retail, Waste, Property Management, and Construction.
- Client Retention & Growth: Cultivate long-term, trusted relationships to secure repeat business, expand service adoption, and maximize customer lifetime value (allocated 40–50% of time).
- Business Development: Identify and generate new revenue streams by engaging new departments and decision-makers within existing accounts (allocated 20–25% of time).
- Targeted Outreach: Drive high-volume sales activities using virtual meetings, formal business reviews, strategic calls, emails, and social media engagement.
Custom Solution and Project Execution
- Tailored Project Management: Design, coordinate, and execute large-scale, custom junk removal solutions for national account clients (allocated 20–25% of time).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal operations and service teams to align resources and ensure seamless project delivery nationwide.
- Client Education: Consult and train clients on full service offerings to help them optimize their waste management strategy.
Operations & Relationship Management
- CRM Optimization: Leverage Salesforce to manage client pipelines, track new business opportunities, and maintain detailed contact histories.
- Financial Oversight: Resolve billing, invoicing, and collections inquiries across the portfolio to ensure smooth revenue reconciliation (allocated 5–10% of time).
- Industry Representation: Travel across North America for high-impact, in-person client meetings and represent the brand at national industry conferences.
Experience and Qualifications
- Enterprise Account Management: 5+ years of experience managing national, enterprise-level accounts with direct oversight of a $5M+ portfolio.
- Vertical Expertise: 3+ years of specialized experience within the Retail, Waste, Property Management, or Construction sectors (Preferred).
- Strategic Growth & Retention: Proven track record in account management, portfolio expansion, client retention, and executing targeted business development strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Extensive experience leading high-level stakeholder communication, aligning cross-functional teams, and coordinating custom solution delivery.
- Core Sales & Operational Skills: Expertise in Account Management, Business Development, Portfolio Management, Strategic Account Planning, Project Coordination, and Billing Reconciliation.
- CRM Tools & Technology: Proficient in HubSpot (Preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $65,700 - $77,000 + Bonus (The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.)
