National Air Logistics Carrier and Procurement Manager (Gateway)

Are you an experienced Air Logistics professional with a strong track record in carrier procurement, commercial negotiations and capacity management?

We are looking for a National Air Logistics Procurement & Carrier Manager to join our Air Logistics team in Delhi. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our carrier portfolio, strengthening strategic airline partnerships and driving procurement strategies that enhance our competitiveness, service quality and profitability. This is an individual contributor role with strong commercial influence, working closely with our gateway, pricing and development teams as well as our global Air Logistics organisation.

How you create impact

• As the National Air Logistics Procurement & Carrier Manager, you will:
• Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with airline partners and the GSA community, while identifying and developing new carrier partnerships.
• Lead carrier negotiations and selection based on demand, rates, capacity and service quality.
• Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies for export gateways in alignment with business requirements and global procurement strategies.
• Source and secure cost-effective airfreight capacity across commercial carriers, charter carriers and GSAs.
• Procure charter and part-charter capacity based on internal customer requirements, in close collaboration with the charter organisation.
• Conduct regular business reviews with selected carriers, assessing performance, commercial development and future opportunities.
• Continuously review existing airline contracts and allotments to ensure commercial feasibility and optimal utilisation.
• Work closely with Gateway, Pricing and Development teams to align procurement strategies with operational and commercial requirements.
• Identify market trends and emerging opportunities and translate them into commercially viable procurement strategies.
• Prepare procurement reports and monitor contract and capacity utilisation to support informed business decisions.

What we would like you to bring

• We are looking for someone who combines strong Air Logistics knowledge with commercial and procurement expertise.
• Approximately 10–12 years of relevant experience, preferably within Air Logistics, freight forwarding, airline procurement or a related commercial environment.
• Strong experience in carrier management, procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates and capacity.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand market dynamics and translate them into business opportunities.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, GSAs and other industry partners.
• Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good understanding of contracts, commercial terms, sourcing and procurement practices.
• Strong decision-making skills, with a high level of accountability and ownership.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders while operating independently.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
