As a National Bank Examiner (Analyst to Assistant Deputy Comptroller), you will use advanced knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to advise and assist the Assistant Deputy Comptroller (ADC) in planning, organizing, and implementing functions of the field office. This position is located in Community Banks in one of the following locations: Cleveland, OH Pittsburgh, PA Detroit, MI

As a National Bank Examiner (Analyst to Assistant Deputy Comptroller), you will: Review supervisory strategies for individual banks/thrifts assigned to the ADC. Review Reports of Examination to ensure proper risk categories are assigned. Analyzes supervision findings for banks/thrifts assigned to the ADC, identifies areas of concern, determines methods of resolution, and recommends appropriate action and/or follow-up. Provide technical assistance and guidance to bank/thrift management, examining personnel, district counsel, outside parties, and district and Washington office personnel. Assist the ADC develop and monitor the performance of the annual plan and budget related to financial and human resources for the ADC's portfolio. Identify and resolve problems or issues that may cross functional or disciplinary boundaries, both within and outside of the District unit, and that impact the accomplishment of both tactical and strategic agency objectives. Supervise, manage, review and evaluate the work the work of assigned office support personnel. May assign work for field office personnel. Coordinates sharing of resources with other analysts assisting an ADC. Assist ADC and oversees the day-to-day operations of the field office and may fill-in for the ADC during short absences. Attend meetings with Boards of Directors and bank/thrift management, representing the ADC, and serves as liaison with representatives of the bank/thrift industry and community groups. Prepares supervisory work products and correspondence for ADC's signature.

This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. This position requires a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission reflecting the incumbent is authorized to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks and/or a Federal Thrift Regulator (FTR) accreditation reflecting the incumbent is authorized to sign ROEs for federal savings associations.
