National Energy Account Manager
As a National Energy Account Manager at Crescent Electric Supply Company, you are responsible for leading business development efforts and profitable sales growth within the retail market by calling on key large retail end users, specifiers, and national contracting partners. You will design and execute a professional sales strategy utilizing in-depth knowledge of the customer and the industry. You will also solicit large opportunities and secure national contracts within Company guidelines and ethics.
Primary Duties:
Grow sales and profitability for assigned national accounts and achieve budgeted sales and margin objectives.
Generate new leads by proactively pursuing new accounts and following up on branch and other inquiries.
Drive growth with new customers via new business development efforts and multi-measure proposals.
Close sales and programs at assigned customers and target accounts.
Develop and maintain a proactive national accounts target list.
Prepare, organize, and deliver formal executive presentations and proposals.
Promote a multi-measure, total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction program to all clients.
Present Crescent Electric Supply Company and our value to end users using in-house or customized presentations.
Make joint calls with branches to promote sales agreements or to maintain existing agreements.
Assist in setting prices for account profiling.
Negotiate with vendors to secure special price agreements (SPA’s) for attainment of adequate and profitable pricing levels.

Maintain accurate accounting of all national account data according to the standards set by national accounts leadership.
Educate participating branches and end users on newly established contracts.
Collaborate with senior leadership, field managers, sales teams, and suppliers to position Crescent Electric Supply Company for success, winning business at the identified national account targets.
Maintain accounts through personal visits and solidify relationships.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Sales, or related field.
3+ years of experience working in a strategic account management, national account manager, or equivalent sales leadership capacity.
Demonstrated track record of profitability and excellence in customer service.
Valid Driver's License Required.
Basic understanding of switch gear and electrical distribution products. (Pipe / wire / fittings/ strut/ boxes/ NEMA ratings)
Basic working knowledge of lighting contactors, breakers, disconnect switches, etc.
Legacy lighting knowledge and the ability to identify it (low pressure sodium lamps/ power grove fluorescents/ t12/t8/t5 / difference between a standard lamp and an HO lamp. MH/HPS).
Ability to perform a lighting audit and provide solutions for energy upgrade.
General Knowledge of Solar and Balance of systems and EV Charging.
Ability to identify other energy saving opportunities (motors/drives/transformers/ceiling blankets, etc.)
Ability to identify utility incentive programs across the country, (help customers identify best savings/profit solutions based on those programs, work with utilities to fill out pre/post applications for end users/ customers.)
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with overnight stays.

Occasional reaching with hands/arms.
Frequent talking and hearing.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, and ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
Ability and means to travel.
May be required to work more than 40 hours per week.
