National Sales Manager sHTG Metabolic Diseases Austria
Objective for the company:
Lead of sales activities and sales. Assume a role as multiplier for business objectives, values and strategies. Initiation and participation of strategic and conceptual decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sales results in a defined region in Austtria (product sales, effective use of promotion budget, KPIs)
- Recruit, train and lead a team of field-based Pharmaceutical Representatives
- Leadership considering the different aspects of the leading role (manager, leader, coach, trainer, adviser, and mentor)
- Continuous development and sustainable performance management on individual level
- Coordination and realization of regional sales activities (e.g., further education)
- Monitoring of the activities and regular control of success (e.g., CRM, market data)
- Sales force management
- Spend time in the field interacting with customers to understand the customer view
- Take ownership of customer networking and manage ongoing key stakeholder relationships on a regional scale
- Provide a feedback loop for local market requirements and competitor activities
- Monitoring/tracking of the territory budget and sales as well as productivity
- Ensure ongoing completion of all required initial and ongoing training in local regulations and policies, and adherence to those regulations and policies for self and any direct reports
University degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
Proven track record of success in sales leadership within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally in specialty care or rare diseases.
Demonstrated experience in leading, developing, and motivating field-based commercial teams, with strong coaching and performance-management capabilities.
Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights (market data, CRM, competitive intelligence) into impactful commercial actions.
Excellent stakeholder-management abilities, with a history of building trustful relationships with key customers, cross-functional partners, and senior internal leaders; strong communication and influencing skills in German and English.
