Summary: The National Sales Manager for the TURBAIR product line leads strategic sales and business development efforts across new equipment, aftermarket services, and product support for TURBAIR Vacuum Systems within a designated territory or set of accounts. This role focuses on promoting high-performance single-stage and multistage blowers used in vacuum systems for pulp and paper and other industrial applications. In addition to driving TURBAIR system sales, the National Sales Manager plays a key role in expanding the company’s footprint by introducing its broader portfolio of turbo machinery solutions—including steam turbine generator packages—particularly in facilities where integrated energy solutions are essential.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Build and nurture strategic customer relationships by proactively engaging with assigned and prospective accounts, identifying key decision-makers, and generating qualified leads
Drive early-stage client engagement through consultative selling and solution positioning prior to RFQ development, strengthening long-term business opportunities
Lead commercial negotiations and oversee contract finalization to ensure mutually beneficial agreements with customers
Focus on targeted applications in pulp and paper, power generation, and other industrial sectors to expand market presence
Share project, product, and market insights with teams in Swiss headquarters and Houston to align global strategies
Continuously monitor market trends and evaluate competitive positioning to inform strategic decisions
Report on competitive activity and maintain consistent communication with customers to stay ahead of market dynamics
Support marketing initiatives by contributing to the creation of promotional materials and content
Deliver product and service training to ensure customers fully understand offerings and capabilities
Manage customer relationships and relay feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement
Represent the company at industry events including trade shows, conferences, and professional organizations
Assist with accounts receivable collection when necessary to support financial health
Facilitate client communication during installation, commissioning, and warranty processes in collaboration with field service teams
Develop and present sales proposals tailored to customer needs and project requirements
Strengthen factory partnerships to enhance collaboration and execution
Participate in bid reviews and project kickoff meetings to ensure alignment and clarity
Collaborate with project managers to resolve scope-related issues during project execution
Maintain deep product knowledge through ongoing education and training
Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to travel internationally to support global customer engagements and project needs
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent scientific discipline required
Experience/Qualification/Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, application engineering, project engineering, or project management related to complex engineer-to-order equipment.
Prior experience with large rotating machinery such as turbo-compressors, blowers, steam turbines, or gas turbines is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and nationalities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in PC applications including SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems.
Fluency in a second language preferred—Spanish or German is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical and systematic approach to tasks.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally as needed.
Skilled in interpreting technical documents, safety procedures, specifications, and legal contracts.
Capable of designing and delivering impactful presentations tailored to customer needs.
Comfortable speaking in front of groups, including customers and internal teams.
Adept at solving practical challenges and navigating complex scenarios with limited standardization.
Ability to understand and follow instructions presented in various formats—written, verbal, diagrams, or schedules.
Ability and willingness to travel worldwide on occasion
