National Sales Manager - USSG (3353)

The National Sales Manager is an experienced sales professional who not only understands the products but also understands the customers and the environments they sell into. The Manager is a member of the United States Sales Group (USSG), and is responsible for achieving business sales goals. By providing a high level of technical proficiency with Icom products, the Manager will lead a team of sales professionals who will respond to and support local customers, prospect assigned opportunities, support government bids and contracts, and identify third-party products and applications to achieve communication solutions. The combination of these efforts will differentiate Icom America from the competition and set the highest standards in the communications industry.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and Implement Effective sales strategies.
  2. Lead nationwide sales team members (outside and inside) to achieve the company's set sales targets.
  3. Work jointly with the territory sales managers to create a territory plan, utilizing feedback from dealers/customers and adding own knowledge of local market demand.
  4. Work collaboratively with the Sales Marketing Manager to implement and act on lead generation as well as product forecasts and new product development.
  5. Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and annual sales forecasts by revenue and product.
  6. Demonstrate product knowledge by training others, assessing inventories, and identifying new opportunities for sales growth.
  7. Prepare presentations showing current sales figures to Corporate executives and all company staff at Quarterly results meetings.
  8. Oversee USSG budget for the sales force, approving expenses for the sales team.
  9. Develop policies and procedures as they relate to sales.
  10. Other duties and projects assigned.


Knowledge and SkillS

TECHNOLOGY - RF wireless technology, commercial and consumer products. Mobile voice and data communications, WLAN, computer-controlled RF products. Two-way radio handsets and base stations, scanners, and receivers. P25, IDAS, SMR, ESMR, MPT1327, TETRA, LTR, TDMA, and NXDN protocols.

LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE SKILLS - Ability to create an environment for team success. Generate enthusiasm; create a sense of urgency for the mission. Maintain team focus to drive execution. A good listener, able to negotiate conflicts and solve people problems

COMPUTER SKILLS – Strong computer skills to analyze data and develop strategies. Extensive knowledge and skill in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, and MS Teams. Ability to create presentations that link multiple applications.

PERSONALITY - High-energy, strong work ethic, good sense of humor, positive outlook. Adaptable to changes, work well under pressure, and enthused by challenges. Experience in the U.S. Land Mobile radio industry as an MR or retail sales. Winning personality and ability to develop rapport and relationships. Product training experience.
