The Perinatal Institute at Cincinnati Children's is currently seeking Pediatricians to join our Level II Special Care Nursery Fellowship Training Program to focus on learning the skills necessary to independently practice in a Level II Special Care Nursery at Special Care Nursery and NICU locations in Greater Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky/Dayton areas. This includes both the management of a wide breadth of neonatal diseases and physiology present in moderately preterm and term infants after birth as well as the initial resuscitation and stabilization of an extremely preterm or critically ill infant prior to transport to a higher level of care. On a monthly basis, trainees spend one week in each of the following clinical areas: Level I Nursery rotations, Level II Special Care Nursery rotations, Level III NICU rotations, and supplemental learning. Work Schedules will include day and night shifts in addition to weekend and holiday rotations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent

  • Must be BE/BC in Pediatrics and/or Neonatology

  • Unrestricted licensed physician

  • Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division
