.Net Backend Developer

Summary

Build and maintain scalable .NET backend services and RESTful APIs using C#, SQL, and AWS, integrating cloud-native components and emerging AI workflows.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a .Net Backend Developer based in India.

As a .NET Backend Developer, you will design, develop, and support scalable backend services and APIs for enterprise-grade applications.
You will build microservices, RESTful APIs, and data-driven solutions using C#, .NET, SQL, and AWS.
The role combines hands-on engineering with cloud deployment, secure API design, database optimization, and enterprise integration.
You will collaborate with architects, product owners, data engineers, and application teams to turn business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
You will also have opportunities to contribute to emerging AI use cases through LLM-enabled integrations and intelligent application workflows.
Production reliability, clean architecture, security, performance, and maintainability will be central to your work.
This is an opportunity to contribute to modern digital solutions while expanding your expertise across cloud, distributed systems, and AI technologies.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using C# and .NET Core/.NET.
  • Build secure, reliable, and well-documented RESTful APIs for internal and external enterprise applications.
  • Develop backend components that integrate with SQL databases, enterprise platforms, third-party services, and cloud-native environments.
  • Design and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, queries, indexes, and data access layers to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Implement microservices and distributed-system patterns, including service-to-service communication, API gateways, resiliency, logging, and monitoring.
  • Deploy and support backend applications on AWS using cloud-native services, containerized workloads, serverless components, and managed infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, data engineers, application teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective backend solutions.
  • Implement secure coding practices covering authentication, authorization, secrets management, audit logging, role-based access control, and exception handling.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, troubleshooting, production support, and performance-tuning activities.
  • Build reusable backend components, API libraries, integration services, and common utilities to improve engineering efficiency.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, Git-based workflows, and environment configuration.
  • Integrate backend services with AI and LLM capabilities where required, including AI services, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and LLM endpoints.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, APIs, data flows, deployment procedures, dependencies, and operational processes.
  • Requirements

    • 4–6 years of professional experience developing production-grade backend applications using C# and .NET Core/.NET.
    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and enterprise backend services.
    • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, API design, and backend integration patterns.
    • Strong SQL skills, including database design, query development, indexing, optimization, and performance tuning.
    • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and deploying applications in cloud-based environments.
    • Experience with API security, authentication, authorization, secure coding, logging, exception handling, and access control.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, automated builds, testing, and deployment processes.
    • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, asynchronous programming, and clean-code principles.
    • Experience troubleshooting production issues, analyzing logs, identifying performance bottlenecks, and improving application reliability.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders.
    • Basic knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, AI service integration, or LLM-powered application workflows is a plus.
