.Net C# Developer
In the position, the primary focus will be in development related areas. This position will be responsible for supporting, creating and enhancing development projects for the company. Interact and collaborate with others within the company to understand their needs to be able to provide cost and time estimates for priority decisions The position requires interaction and collaborative efforts in contributing, where required, to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.
Key Functions/Duties of Position:
- Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting system.
- Has knowledge of advanced development tools, languages and best practices to support systems.
- Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring and documenting data transformations (SSIS), stored procedures, and web services.
- Consult with other developers, designers, and analysts.
- Responsible for keeping the IT development team, and Manager, Shared Services aware of development statuses, issues, and opportunities.
- Performs Unit and Regression Testing of all development work.
- Ensure effective handoff to other developers.
Education Requirement: Minimum 4-year degree
Computer Science/Software Engineering/Computer Information Systems Majors preferred, but not required
Qualifications and core competencies required include:
- 10+ years of related experience
- 3-10 years of C# and .Net development
- Insurance experience ( a plus)
- Radzen Blazor experience preferred, but not required
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Natural problem solver
- Knowledge of development tools, databases, and reporting technologies (including architecture and development best practices)
