.Net Software Developer (Internship)
Summary
Remote .NET developer internship: build web applications to spec, carry change requests through development and testing, participate in peer code reviews, and report progress daily within an agile team. Core tech includes .NET, OOP, ORMs (Entity Framework/NHibernate), relational databases, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
This is a remote position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build software based on specifications not only to internal standards but also external customer needs. Will provide input on design of all aspects of the application. Must have a keen understanding of web-based technologies in general and some of the security aspects around them. Will be required to take change requests through any or all stages of their development including testing. Working in a team to accomplish the requests made as well as the goals set out by the company. Must be able to report progress daily and interact with others to meet deadlines and deliver results. Will be required to participate in peer code review of their own code as well as others.
Requirements
Desired Experience
· Minimum of two years of related experience in a Software Development or Testing;
· Good verbal and writing communication skills
· Ability to work in fast-paced agile environment and collaborative team
· Desired experience working with remote development and testing teams
· Desired Experience with Team Foundation Server.
· Positive attitude and ability to work within a team environment
· Customer focused attitude with a commitment to superior, high quality service and customer satisfaction
· Have a University and/or a College Degree in a related field
Competencies and Skills
- Solid understanding of OOP principles
- Understanding of Entity Framework, NHibernate or another ORM technology
- Solid understanding of relational databases concepts
- Understanding microservice architecture is a plus
- Experience working with Azure DevOps is a plus
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines is a plus
