Purpose of Job: As a Global D&T Engineering Manager Express, you will lead our technical teams in designing,
developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions at Aramex.

The ideal candidate will oversee multiple engineering teams (when applicable), collaborate closely
with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive the execution of engineering projects in alignment with
company goals and priorities.

The Engineering Manager job serves the following purposes:

Helping the Engineering Head with shaping the technology landscape at Aramex.
Hiring, leading, and developing talented engineering teams in-house or outsourced.
Enabling a culture of innovation

• Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, including software engineers, architects, and technical leads.
• Enable a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the teams.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
• Project and Program Management:
• Plan, prioritize, and allocate resources across engineering projects to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define project
• requirements, scope, and milestones.
• Technical Oversight:
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Drive technical excellence and innovation by staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Review and provide technical guidance on design decisions, architecture, and implementation strategies.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Partner with product management, UX/UI design, quality assurance, and other teams to deliver integrated and cohesive solutions.
• Communicate technical strategies, challenges, and solutions to non-technical
• stakeholders effectively.
• Collaborate with senior management and executives to align engineering initiatives with business objectives and priorities.
• Performance and Quality Assurance:
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering teams and projects.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, testing methodologies, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data protection standards, and industry best practices.

Skills

• 11+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• 6+ years of experience in .Net Framework and AI Technology
• 5+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within software engineering or related technical field, with a track record of successfully managing and mentoring engineering teams. Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, architecture, and system design, preferably in the .NET framework and the modern .NET technology stack.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams toward achieving goals.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is highly desirable.
• Hands on Experience on Node js and react.
• Experience in building scalable and distributed systems is a plus.
• Deep understanding in different C# development concepts including:
• asynchronous programming, generics, LINQ, pattern matching, records, and many others.
• Excellent experience utilizing top NuGet libraries.
• Excellent knowledge in ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong knowledge in OOP and SOLID principles.
• Deep knowledge in different Software architectures, including N-layered and Clean Architecture.
• Solid understanding of the distributed systems, microservices and even-driven
• architecture and message queues.
• Excellent understanding of RESTful services and HTTP.
• Proficient in security concepts including web security, authentication, authorization,
• OAuth 2.0, hashing, encryption, and others.
• Good working knowledge in Entity Framework and EF Core.
• Strong knowledge in web technologies and building mobile-first responsive pages.
• Proficiency in writing, tuning, and profiling SQL queries.
• Good knowledge in git.
• Good working knowledge in API integrations and testing them using Postman.
• Expertise in testing API performance and security, along with optimization strategies
• Ability to work with and manage teams remotely.
