# NetSuite Developer ## Company Overview Not specified. ## Job Summary The NetSuite Developer will play a critical role in building, extending, and integrating the NetSuite ERP platform at Exponents (Insta USA Inc.), supporting the company's growth across India, the US, and Mexico. This is a development-centric role that combines hands-on coding with techno-functional responsibilities, contributing to automation, data management, and system integrations to streamline business processes. ## Responsibilities - **NetSuite Development & Customization (~70–80%)**: Design, develop, test, and deploy customizations using SuiteScript 2.x, including User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, and RESTlet scripts. - Build and maintain custom records, fields, forms, SuiteFlow workflows, saved searches, and SuiteQL queries to automate and optimize business processes. - Develop and maintain integrations between NetSuite and external systems such as ExpoSync (Custom SaaS), BI tools, RFID tools, and other third-party platforms using SuiteTalk (REST/SOAP), RESTlets, APIs, and middleware. - Write backend services, scripts, and utilities in Java and Python for data processing, automation, and ETL outside of NetSuite. - Design and optimize complex SQL/SuiteQL queries, and maintain database schemas, views, and data models supporting ExpoSync, reporting, and integrations. - Build data pipelines and reporting datasets for BI tools, ensuring data accuracy and consistency, and execute data migrations, bulk imports, and data cleansing scripts while maintaining data integrity. - Troubleshoot and resolve script errors, performance issues, governance-limit problems, and integration failures. - Follow best engineering practices including version control (Git), SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) deployments, sandbox testing, code reviews, and technical documentation. - **Techno-Functional (~20–30%)**: Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Operations, and other teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and map core business processes to NetSuite configurations. - Manage NetSuite administration tasks such as roles and permissions, master data quality, release updates, and month-end system support. - Act as the technical liaison with the NetSuite System Integration (SI) partner, reviewing solution designs, effort estimations, and testing deliverables. - Support automation, data, and technology initiatives across the organization in collaboration with the Head of Strategy & CEO Office. ## Qualifications - **Experience**: Minimum 5–6 years, with 70–80% hands-on development and 20–30% techno-functional ERP work, including significant NetSuite development. - **NetSuite Skills**: Proficiency in SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteQL, SuiteTalk/RESTlets, and SDF, with a proven track record of delivering production customizations and integrations. - **Programming Skills**: Strong experience in Java, Python, and JavaScript for building services, scripts, integrations, and automation outside of NetSuite. - **SQL & Databases**: Strong SQL skills, with knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures. - **Integrations**: Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and authentication methods like OAuth 2.0 and Token-Based Authentication. - **Functional Knowledge**: Understanding of core NetSuite modules—Sales/CRM, Order Management, Finance/Accounting, and Inventory. - **Problem-Solving Skills**: Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to work independently and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. - **Educational Qualifications**: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent field. ## Preferred Skills - NetSuite certifications such as SuiteCloud Developer II, SuiteFoundation, or Administrator. - Experience with integration/iPaaS platforms like Celigo, Boomi, or MuleSoft. - Exposure to BI tools, data modeling, and ETL processes. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) or Node.js. - Prior experience in project-based environments. - Knowledge of RFID/inventory management technologies. - Experience working with US-based or global teams. ## Experience - Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience, with a focus on NetSuite development, integrations, and techno-functional ERP work. ## Environment - **Work Mode**: In-office, based in Mumbai, India. - **Work Setting**: Office environment with a focus on collaborative development and cross-functional teamwork. - **Location**: Mumbai, India. - **Additional Conditions**: The role involves working closely with global teams and supporting international business operations. ## Salary Not specified. ## Growth Opportunities Not specified. ## Benefits Not specified.
