Network Administration Support - Defence Edge Systems
Citadel Edge provides C4I support to Army and the Department of Defence. Under the direction of the Senior Network Administrator and Client representatives, the Network Administration Support role is required to design, build, test, maintain, update, administer, fault-find, and document hardware and software sub-systems enabling the C4I Systems as well as providing guidance and assistance to regional sites. The Network Support Admin will also assist in maintaining and conducting ticket management in the provided service management tool.

What’s The Role?
Conduct applicable network administration activities, including but not limited to system administration functions, user account management, system security implementation, application management, network health and performance monitoring, software installation maintenance, and Defence network management agency liaison as required.
Build, Configure, Deploy, Maintain, Upgrade and Monitor physical and virtual infrastructure.
Environmental setup in Development, Test and Production environments including networking, storage, backups and security.
Software deployments and configuration, including databases as well as maintenance of installation guides and run sheets.
Analysis and resolution of issues in development, test and production environments including automation of deployments and upgrades/patching.
Data remediation as well as Change, Release, Configuration and Problem Management.
Incident Management, Request Fulfilment and Problem Management activities within contracted KPIs and SLAs.
Advise Defence on system capacity, availability, performance, business continuity / disaster recovery, system security and configuration management issues relating to Objective.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase efficiencies across the team.
Ensure all documentation is maintained and stored in the appropriate repository.

What’s Your Edge?
NV2 Security Clearance, or minimum NV1 with ability to obtain NV2.
Experience in Enterprise level multi-server infrastructure and operating system build, administration and support.
Experience in providing network support and network administration tasks in Core/data-room environments with demonstrable experience on Microsoft Windows Server/Hyper-V and client OS.
Automation skills such as using Windows Powershell, Bash/ksh and SQL.
Release and Deployment skills and ability to work within a change managed environment.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to work independently within a small team.
Proven ability to produce documentation in a clear and concise manner.
Relevant tertiary or certificate qualifications.
Working knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite and Atlassian suite.
Experience with Army Aviation mission systems, including AMS and AMPS (desirable).
