NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
Summary
Runs the day-to-day network and server operations for a Christian ministry's internal IT department — managing servers, network/wireless infrastructure, the phone system, firewalls, anti-virus, and backups — while handling trouble tickets, vendor escalations, security procedures, and mentoring helpdesk staff.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server infrastructure and services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and related systems.
- Support Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Intune.
- Administer Hyper-V virtualization environments and related infrastructure.
- Support Azure resources and hybrid cloud services.
- Manage storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.

Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, wireless networks, VLANs, Firewalls, and VPN connectivity.
- Monitor system and network health and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Administer and support Linux servers.
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability remediation, access controls, and security best practices.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of IT experience, including at least 2 years supporting server, infrastructure, or networking environments.
- Mid-level industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Associate-level certifications, or equivalent credentials.
- Experience with server and network infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud and virtualization technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
- Linux system administration experience.
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Experience with enterprise storage, backup, and monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and security best practices.
