Network Administrator

Summary

Operating from a highly automated manufacturing facility in Dandenong South, the company specialises in innovative, food-grade plastic packaging while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

· Install, configure and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs and internet connectivity.

· Monitor network performance, system availability and server operations to support uninterrupted manufacturing and business operations.

· Administer Windows servers, Active Directory, cloud services, backup systems and network storage.

· Diagnose and resolve network, server, hardware and software issues to minimise operational downtime.

· Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewall management, endpoint protection, user access controls and software patching.

· Administer user accounts, email services and network security permissions.

· Coordinate the installation, testing and deployment of ICT hardware, software and network devices.

· Maintain network documentation, system configurations, asset registers and ICT procedures.

· Support the integration and ongoing operation of manufacturing systems, ERP software and warehouse technologies.

· Provide technical support and ICT guidance to users across production, warehouse and office environments.

Skills Required

· Strong knowledge of enterprise network administration, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs and wireless networking.

· Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and virtualised environments.

· Sound understanding of network security, firewall administration, backup solutions and disaster recovery.

· Ability to diagnose and resolve network and infrastructure issues in a manufacturing or business environment.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualification and Experience

· Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering or a closely related field.

· At least one year of relevant full-time work experience as a Network Administrator or in a closely related ICT networking role is preferred.

· Relevant industry certifications (such as Microsoft, Cisco or CompTIA) will be highly regarded.
