Network and Cyber Security Engineer
Summary
Designs, secures, and maintains LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud networks while monitoring and responding to cybersecurity threats for a Singapore-based engineering firm.
Responsibilities
Possess hands-on experience in network infrastructure and cybersecurity operations.
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud network environments.
Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Monitor network performance and ensure stable and smooth operations across project sites.
Plan and support the commissioning, decommissioning, migration, and technology refresh of network devices.
Perform preventive maintenance, security patching, firmware upgrades, and system health checks.
Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats, alerts, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
Manage and support security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and XDR platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security-related issues.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration records, and incident reports.
Support the implementation of cybersecurity controls across cloud and on-premises environments.
Assist in the deployment of new security solutions and network infrastructure enhancements.
Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors, government agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for network infrastructure and end users.
Requirements
• Diploma / Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field
• Experiences in network and cyber security operations
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, switching, and firewall technologies
• Familiarity with security tools such as Firewall, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and XDR is an advantage
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
