The Network & Systems Engineer will provide technical support for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of SCADA, communications, and network systems. They will assist with troubleshooting connectivity and control system issues, maintaining network infrastructure, supporting cybersecurity initiatives, and ensure reliable site communications across all operating facilities.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support the Systems Operations Center and SCADA teams in daily operations.
- Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting SCADA and communication systems.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Assist with site communications infrastructure, including ethernet, serial, fiber optic and WAN connections.
- Help maintain network and SCADA documentation, standards, and procedures.
- Participate in SCADA and network testing, commissioning, and upgrade activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Assist in maintaining cybersecurity and communication reliability.
- Provide technical support for renewable energy sites.
- Travel to operational sites as required.
- Support Information Technology (IT) operations, projects, and end-user support activities, including, but not limited to, infrastructure, networking, communications, cybersecurity, systems administration, and other technology-related services.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills and Competencies
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
· 1 year of experience in SCADA, networking, industrial automation, or IT infrastructure.
· Basic understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, switching, routing, and VPNs.
· Familiarity with industrial communication systems and SCADA concepts.
· Basic knowledge of network equipment such as Cisco, Aruba, or Hirschmann is preferred.
· Exposure to fiber optic communications, industrial networks, or renewable energy systems is a plus.
· Knowledge of SEL technologies (RTAC, relays, and managed switches), Sungrow systems, Ignition SCADA, and Siemens WinCC platforms is considered a plus.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Willingness to learn new technologies and support field operations.
· Valid driver's license.
· Ability to travel up to 40% (Locally and Abroad).
· Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
