What you'll lead & influence
- Lead solution architecture for generation site network, telecommunications and operational technology projects.
- Translate requirements into scalable, supportable and executable solution designs.
- Refine technical requirements, assumptions, risks and dependencies.
- Convert Bills of Materials into detailed technical designs and supplier Statements of Work.
- Design and review fibre, WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, wireless, firewall and OT connectivity solutions.
- Define technology requirements for SCADA, ICCP, DCS, PI, telemetry, revenue metering, CCTV and access control systems.
- Ensure cyber security, resiliency, failover, monitoring and support requirements are embedded in all solutions.
- Coordinate implementation, migration, testing, commissioning, cutover and operational handover activities.
- Own technical engagement with Spark and other strategic suppliers.
- Govern supplier delivery, scope, acceptance criteria, quality outcomes and technical risk management.
- Review designs, implementation plans, testing evidence and operational documentation.
- Drive successful transition into operational support and service management teams.
You are a senior architecture professional who enjoys balancing strategic solution design with hands-on delivery leadership.
You'll ideally bring:
- Significant experience as a Solution Architect, Network Architect, Infrastructure Architect or Technical Delivery Architect.
- Proven experience delivering projects within electricity generation, utilities, industrial environments or other critical infrastructure sectors.
- Experience leading complex infrastructure upgrades, site builds or large-scale technology programmes.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, telecommunications and operational technology environments.
- Experience developing Bills of Materials, supplier scopes, Statements of Work and implementation plans.
- Strong stakeholder, vendor and supplier management capability.
- The ability to bridge engineering, operational technology, cyber security, telecommunications and project delivery teams.
- Fibre and carrier network infrastructure.
- WAN and SD-WAN technologies.
- Routing, switching and network segmentation.
- Check Point, Cisco and Aruba solutions.
- SCADA, ICCP and telemetry environments.
- OT security, intrusion detection and network monitoring.
- High availability, disaster recovery and resilient communications design.
- Physical infrastructure including cabling, optics, racks and site communications.
- Play a key role in delivering technology solutions that support critical national infrastructure.
- Influence major investment programmes with significant business impact.
- Work across a diverse technology landscape spanning enterprise IT, operational technology, cyber security and telecommunications.
- Partner with industry-leading vendors, engineering specialists and operational stakeholders.
