Network Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-wide network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead network architecture initiatives, define technology standards, and ensure the availability, security, and scalability of network services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

Network Architecture & Design

• Design and maintain enterprise network architecture, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and data center networks.
• Develop high-level and low-level network designs aligned with business requirements.
• Define network standards, policies, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions.

Infrastructure Management

• Design and oversee deployment of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless solutions.
• Ensure network performance, capacity planning, and scalability.
• Lead network modernization and transformation initiatives.

Security & Compliance

• Integrate security controls into network architecture.
• Design secure connectivity solutions including VPNs, Zero Trust, NAC, and segmentation.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Cloud & Hybrid Networking

• Design networking solutions for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments.
• Develop hybrid cloud connectivity strategies.
• Implement cloud-native networking and security solutions.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with IT leadership, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to network engineers.
• Lead vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and technology roadmaps.

Documentation & Governance

• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, standards, and technical documentation.
• Review network changes and ensure alignment with architectural principles.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 8+ years of networking experience, including 3+ years in network architecture or design roles.
• Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent platforms.
• Deep understanding of network security principles.
• Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, SDN, and network automation frameworks.

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco CCNP/CCIE
• Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
• Azure Network Engineer Associate
• CISSP (preferred)
• Fortinet NSE or Palo Alto Certifications
