Network Architect

About the role

Insight Xcite is seeking an expert-level Network Architect in Sterling, Virginia, to design, evaluate, and modernize secure enterprise network architectures supporting critical mission environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise network architectures.
• Develop standards and technical solutions for routing, switching, segmentation, network security, and resilient connectivity.
• Evaluate current environments and produce modernization roadmaps, trade studies, and implementation guidance.
• Integrate on-premises networks with cloud services, firewalls, VPNs, and mission systems.
• Lead technical reviews and produce architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and operational documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level experience designing and modernizing large enterprise networks.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, VLANs, QoS, firewalls, VPNs, and high-availability design.
• Experience developing architecture artifacts, technical standards, and implementation plans.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical-leadership, and stakeholder-communication skills.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience supporting Intelligence Community or other government customers.
• Experience with AWS or Azure networking, zero trust, software-defined networking, or network automation.
• Advanced Cisco, Juniper, cloud, or network-security certifications.

Applicants must currently possess an active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP) to be considered for employment.

Work Location Requirement

All Insight Xcite positions are onsite. We do not offer remote or hybrid opportunities.

Applicants must be willing and able to work in person at the designated customer location.
