Day-to-day spans Cisco/BGP/OSPF WAN design, Zero Trust segmentation, and automation with Python, Ansible, and Terraform, in a hybrid role based in Fort Myers, FL.
Overview
Our organization is seeking an experienced Enterprise Network & Hybrid Cloud Architect to lead the design, optimization, and governance of enterprise networking and cloud connectivity strategies. This senior-level technology leader will drive the evolution of complex networking environments, bridging traditional infrastructure with modern cloud platforms to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned network architect with deep expertise in enterprise routing and switching, hybrid cloud networking, and security architecture. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to technology leadership, cybersecurity teams, and infrastructure engineers while ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and continuous improvement of enterprise routing and switching environments across multiple locations and data centers.
- Design and implement secure, highly available hybrid cloud connectivity utilizing Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, and advanced routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
- Develop and enforce Zero Trust network segmentation strategies across campus, data center, and cloud environments.
- Establish network security controls, access control policies, and governance standards aligned with regulatory and industry frameworks.
- Optimize network performance, throughput, and latency to support business-critical applications, large-scale data movement, and emerging AI/ML workloads.
- Guide the evolution of WAN and campus network architectures, ensuring seamless integration between traditional infrastructure, SDN technologies, and multi-cloud platforms.
- Drive network automation initiatives using tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform to improve operational efficiency and reduce configuration drift.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting best practices in networking, cloud architecture, and infrastructure automation.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for mission-critical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant networking, data center, or infrastructure architecture experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructures.
- Demonstrated expertise with enterprise routing and switching technologies, including Cisco environments.
- Strong experience with BGP, OSPF, WAN technologies, and data center networking.
- Proven experience designing hybrid cloud networking solutions across Azure and AWS environments.
- Experience developing scalable infrastructure strategies that align with long-term business objectives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- CCIE certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
- CISSP or CCSP certification.
- TOGAF certification.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
- Experience with Zero Trust security frameworks.
- Experience supporting strategic infrastructure planning and budgeting initiatives.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Myers, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $166400.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
