Network Design Engineer
Job Duties & Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Network Design: Develop carrier-grade network solutions aligned with HGC architectural standards and business objectives, creating detailed designs, Bill Of Materials, and cost estimates.
- Capacity Management: Monitor and manage network capacity across service bandwidth and hardware; proactively identify constraints and recommend upgrades.
- Technology Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies; conduct Proof Of Concepts and lab testing; provide recommendations for technology adoption.
- Project & Cross-Functional Support: Manage complex projects; support Sales with technical solutions; engage with Product Management on new product ideas.
- Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive design documentation, Method Of Procedures, and operational handover packages; conduct internal and external training.
- Network Operations Support: Provide support for escalated network faults; use diagnostic tools for investigation and root cause analysis.
Requirements:
- Degree holder
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in OSP fiber projects.
- Hands-on experience in project management and infrastructure management.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
