Network Design Engineers
Summary
Designs end-to-end, standards-compliant network solutions across IP/MPLS, Transmission, Fibre, and Radio domains, producing HLD/LLD packs and guiding teams through build and activation.
We are seeking an experienced Network
Designer to join our Network Design team. In this role, you will translate
customer and internal requirements into end-to-end, buildable, cost-effective,
and standards-compliant network designs across IP/MPLS, Transmission, Fibre,
and Radio domains.
You will produce high-quality design
documentation, act as the technical point of contact throughout the order
lifecycle, and collaborate closely with Planning, Provisioning, Build, and
Project teams to ensure successful delivery of network services.
• Receive
customer and internal orders from the Planning team, analyse requirements,
scope, and feasibility before commencing design
• Produce
end-to-end network designs that deliver buildable, cost-effective, and
standards-compliant solutions
• Prepare
and issue comprehensive design packs (HLD, LLD, schematics, bill of materials,
and configuration templates) to Provisioning, CAD, and Field teams within
agreed SLAs
• Validate
network inventory, capacity, and route availability; raise augmentation
requests where required
• Make
informed design trade-off decisions on cost, resilience, lead time, and
infrastructure reuse, documenting rationale clearly
• Ensure
all designs meet engineering standards, customer SLA obligations, and
diversity/resilience requirements
• Conduct
peer reviews of designs and present own designs in design review forums for
approval
• Serve
as the technical point of contact for orders throughout their lifecycle,
responding to queries from Provisioning, Build, CAD, and Project Management
teams
• Investigate
and resolve design-related issues during build or activation; issue design
amendments as needed
• Maintain
accurate as-designed and as-built records in inventory and design systems
• Contribute
to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, proposing standard
design patterns, and updating templates and guidelines
• Mentor
junior designers and share knowledge on new technologies, vendor platforms, and
best practices
• Comply with workplace
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at all times
• Actively contribute to
process improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to workflows and best
practices
