Requirements:- Hands-on experience supporting and implementing business networks, including the ability to manage routine work independently and recognise when to escalate.
- Strong networking fundamentals and practical experience with Cisco technologies.
- Experience in at least two of routing and switching, wireless networking, and network security, with a willingness to broaden your skills.
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting and careful preparation for changes.
- Clear written and verbal communication, good listening skills, and confidence speaking with customers.
- Reliable organisation, documentation, and follow-through.
- Willingness to share knowledge and work closely with a small team.
- CCNA-level knowledge; CCNP certification or progress towards it is welcome. Practical capability and judgement matter more than certificates alone.
- Experience in a networking reseller, systems integrator, or MSP is useful but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Three years of computer networking experience required; a driving licence is required, and CCNA certification is preferred.
- Diagnose and resolve network faults, keeping customers informed throughout.
- Plan and carry out installations, upgrades, and configuration changes, including appropriate testing and rollback arrangements.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, and handover documentation.
- Work with technical and non-technical colleagues to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
- Troubleshoot and support customer networks, prepare and implement changes, and deliver installations and upgrades at customer sites.
- Work across routing, switching, wireless, and network security.
- Join customer calls with our sales team, help establish requirements, answer technical questions, and explain possible approaches clearly.
