Network Engineer
Summary
Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks; monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and enforce security policies using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios.
Design & Implementation – Plan, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless network infrastructure to meet business and scalability requirements.
Network Monitoring & Maintenance – Continuously monitor network performance, uptime, and security using tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios), performing routine maintenance and upgrades.
Troubleshooting & Support – Diagnose and resolve network issues (connectivity, latency, hardware/software faults) promptly to minimize downtime, providing L2/L3 technical support.
Security Management – Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls to safeguard network integrity against cyber threats.
Documentation & Compliance – Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, and SOPs; ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory/IT governance standards (e.g., IMDA guidelines where applicable).
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination – Liaise with ISPs, hardware/software vendors, and internal IT teams to manage service contracts, procurement, and cross-functional infrastructure projects.
