Network Engineer - Data Center Network (Cisco ACI & Nexus)

Summary: This role focuses on a Network Engineer (Senior/Regular) for managing the Data Center Network product, which includes Cisco ACI and Nexus technologies, as well as future Huawei components starting in 2028. The primary goal is to ensure smooth operational execution throughout the product lifecycle, including on-call support for major incidents and participation in change management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Cisco ACI and Nexus.

• Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

• Execution of ACI fabric upgrades and management of firmware lifecycle.

• Participation in on-call duty and management of major incidents.

• Execution of planned maintenance activities during non-core hours.

• Incident response and resolution for higher-level tickets.

• Configuration and optimization of event monitoring systems.

• Monitoring network capacity and identifying bottlenecks.

• Execution of vulnerability management practices.

• Maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

• Participation in audits for compliance management.

• Identification and implementation of continual service improvements.

• Management of service requests within the defined process.

• Participation in disaster recovery exercises.

• Knowledge transfer and documentation improvements.

• Willingness to comply with security protocols in banking environments.

Key Requirements:

• Deep technical knowledge of Cisco ACI and Nexus operating systems.

• Required certifications: Cisco CCNA or CCNP Data Center; CCNP is preferred for senior roles.

• At least several years of operational experience in data center environments.

• Strong team and communication skills in an international setup.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes in regulated environments.

• Fluency in English; German is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Huawei certifications (HCIP or HCIE Datacom).

• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible or Python.

• Knowledge of event monitoring tools like CheckMK.
