Summary

The Network Engineer will design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and security devices. The role involves troubleshooting complex network issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability.

Salary: $700 - $800 p.d.

About the Role

Seeking a Network Engineer to join a growing technology team and support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise network infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on networking experience who is looking to further develop their technical depth while working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain enterprise network environments including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPNs
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security, responding to incidents and alerts
  • Work closely with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure network reliability and compliance
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
  • Provide third-level technical support and contribute to root cause analysis

About You

  • Significant experience as a network engineer
  • Prior leadership and/or management experience
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies (e.g. Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto or similar)
  • Experience supporting firewall and VPN technologies
  • Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is desirable
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in production environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and ITSM platforms
  • Understanding of network security principles and best practices
