DDI Network Engineer – DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Infoblox & Network Automation

Location: Toronto; Hybrid 2 days a week onsite

Top 3 Required Skills:

• DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) Engineering & Architecture – Expert-level experience with enterprise DDI platforms (Infoblox, BlueCat, Diamond IP), DNS/DHCP design, redundancy, failover, and large-scale operations.
• DNS/DHCP Administration & Troubleshooting – Deep understanding of DNS architecture, DNS security (DNSSEC, SPF, DMARC, DKIM), DHCP services, IPv4/IPv6 management, and advanced root cause analysis.
• Network Engineering & Automation – Strong experience with Python/Bash scripting, REST/SOAP APIs, Linux/Unix administration, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network automation in enterprise environments.

Top 3 Preferred Skills:

• Cloud & Hybrid DNS Architecture – Experience designing and managing scalable DNS solutions across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Public DNS, CDN & Traffic Management – Experience with domain registrars, public DNS management, Akamai/Cloudflare CDNs, GTM/GSLB, SSL/TLS, and traffic steering.
• Banking/Financial Services & Compliance Experience – Exposure to regulated environments, audit/compliance requirements, SIEM tools (Splunk/ELK), and ITIL processes.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• DDI Certifications (Infoblox/BlueCat) preferred.
• CCNA/CCNP certifications are considered a strong asset.

Key Qualifications Summary:

• 8+ years of Network Engineering experience, including 5+ years of hands-on DDI platform experience.
• Expertise in enterprise DNS, DHCP, IPAM, IPv4/IPv6, and large-scale network services.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, and APIs.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to lead complex enterprise DDI initiatives, including cloud migrations, M&A integrations, and DNS security implementations.
