Summary:
The role of a Network Engineer is primarily focused on managing and optimizing the organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance, which is critical for supporting ongoing IT projects and operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Monitor and troubleshoot network systems, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Perform network configuration and upgrades in line with company requirements and industry best practices.
Respond to network issues and outages, providing efficient solutions in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other IT teams to deploy network solutions for various projects.
Assist in planning network capacity, ensuring scalability and redundancy for future growth.
Provide network documentation, including topology, IP addresses, and detailed configuration.
Maintain and optimize existing network systems, recommending and implementing improvements.
Conduct regular system checks and performance evaluations.
Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Travel to client sites for network installations, troubleshooting, and support activities (travel required within UAE).
Key Requirements:
2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), and experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Nice to Have:
CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or other relevant certifications preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
Other Details:
Location: UAE – Abu Dhabi. Frequent travel to client sites required within UAE. Must have own car and a valid driving license.
