Network Engineer
Salary: RM 3,000 – RM 4,500 per month
About the role
Network Engineer role involving design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN networks. You will configure and manage network devices, monitor performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement network security policies.
Key responsibilities
Design, configure, install, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN networks
Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Perform network upgrades, maintenance, and firmware updates
Implement and maintain network security policies
Support server room, structured cabling, and network documentation
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
Work closely with vendors and service providers for network implementation and maintenance
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and network diagrams
Participate in on-site deployment and after-hours maintenance when required
About you
Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field
Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in network administration or network engineering
Hands-on experience with Cisco, MikroTik, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, HP Aruba, or similar networking equipment
Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Switching, and Firewall configuration
Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization is an added advantage
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Possess own transport and willing to travel to customer sites when required
