Job Description

Provide first-level operational support for network, connectivity, and telecommunications services for corporate offices in Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Panama, ensuring timely attention to requests and incidents related to LAN infrastructure, Wi-Fi, VPN remote access, and telephony.

Purpose of the role:

Provide first-level support for the corporate campus network and communications services, managing connectivity requests, resolving operational incidents, and coordinating the escalation of complex cases to ensure the availability and proper functioning of the technological infrastructure that supports business operations.

Responsibilities of the role:

  1. Ensure timely attention to requests related to LAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and telephony connectivity.

  2. Execute first-level support operational activities following the procedures and standards defined by the organization.

  3. Analyze and resolve basic network and connectivity incidents for end users in Colombia and Peru.

  4. Properly document all activities performed in management platforms.

  5. Timely identify situations that require specialized support and manage the corresponding escalation.

  6. Maintain constant communication with users, providers, and support teams to ensure proper incident management.

  7. Follow up on incidents related to telecommunications circuits until resolution.

  8. Comply with the Service Level Agreements (SLA) established for handling requests and incidents.

  9. Ensure the proper use and assignment of connectivity resources, VPN access, and authentication via RSA tokens.

  10. Contribute to maintaining the operational availability of the campus network and communications services.

Qualifications

Education:

• Technician, technologist, or student in the final semesters of Systems Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.

• Desirable certification or basic courses in networking and technological infrastructure support.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in technical support, service desk, or basic network administration.

• Experience in end-user support and ticket management.

• Desirable experience in corporate environments with multiple locations or remote users.

Required technical knowledge:

• Fundamentals of LAN/WAN networks.

• IP addressing (IPv4).

• Basic concepts of switching and network connectivity.

• Wireless network support (Wi-Fi).

• Basic VPN access administration.

• Basic management of multi-factor authentication (RSA Tokens).

• Basic knowledge of telephony via Teams.

• Incident and request management tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar).

• Basic concepts of telecommunications providers and data circuits.

Note: Training can be provided internally.
