Summary

Design, deploy, and operate high-performance data center networks for GPU, HPC, and storage clusters at a global technology company. Day-to-day covers architecture/HLD documentation, routing optimization, testing, and production support using Arista/Cisco/NVIDIA gear plus InfiniBand/RoCE and BGP/EVPN/VXLAN.

My Client:

My client is a leading global technology company. Its infrastructure team provides end-to-end services across data centers, connectivity, cloud, networking, systems, storage, and security, supporting large-scale business applications across the company.

The Role:

The team is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of high-performance networks for GPU, HPC, and storage clusters. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring GPU clusters into production, ensuring scalable, resilient, and low-latency connectivity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end network architecture design for GPU, HPC, and storage clusters, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance.

  • Develop High-Level Design (HLD) documentation, including network architecture diagrams, design specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOM).

  • Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and support large-scale production network infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with Technical Program Management and Cloud Platform Engineering teams to accelerate GPU cluster deployment and ensure timely readiness.

  • Conduct network performance validation, interoperability testing, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing.

  • Analyse network traffic and capacity requirements, plan future expansion, and optimise routing performance for low-latency connectivity.

  • Maintain network documentation, policies, procedures, and service records.

  • Ensure infrastructure complies with local regulatory and organisational requirements.

  • Provide technical support throughout network implementation projects and participate in occasional on-call support.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Networking, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco, or NVIDIA networking products.

  • Proficiency in InfiniBand (IB) and RoCE network architecture design.

  • Strong knowledge of routing and networking technologies, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN, Segment Routing, VXLAN, ECMP, ECN, PFC, QoS, IPSec, NAT, and IPv6.

  • Experience with scripting or automation for data center network deployment.

  • Hands-on experience in network performance validation, interoperability testing, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing.

  • Familiarity with compute and storage networking is an advantage.

  • CCNP, NCP-IB, or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.

Why Join:

  • Work on high-performance networks supporting large-scale GPU, HPC, and storage infrastructure.

  • Take ownership of network architecture from design through deployment and production operations.

  • Collaborate with experienced infrastructure and cloud engineering teams within a leading global Internet company.
