Role Purpose:
Network Engineer is accountable for the design, implementation, maintenance and operation of the bank’s data network infrastructure, covering LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and core network services such as load balancing, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and NTP including expert-level engagement with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) fabric design and the adoption of NetDevOps methodologies.
The role ensures highly available, scalable, and secure connectivity across a diverse set of environments including branches, corporate offices, data centers, cloud platforms, remote ATMs, and international locations. Reporting to the Data Networks Lead, the role serves as a key contributor to network delivery and operations capabilities, and execution of infrastructure modernization, and the automation roadmap.
Key Accountabilities of the role
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Contribute technical expertise to the development of network implementation plans that support the bank’s digital transformation and operational resiliency, with focus on ACI fabric integration
- Provide input to platform lifecycle planning, hardware/software refresh cycles, and automation roadmaps in coordination with architecture and management, driving NetDevOps principles
- Collaborate with peer teams across infrastructure, security, and workplace platforms to ensure cohesive design and delivery.
